This Valentine’s Day, we embraced love in its most fundamental form—self-love. Hosted at the serene RU Space, Cultivating Self-Love was a thoughtfully curated event blending yoga and journaling to foster inner connection and self-compassion.

The event began with a grounding yoga session, inviting participants to step onto their mats and into the present moment. Through mindful movement and breathwork, attendees were guided in releasing the tension, cultivating awareness, and honouring their bodies with kindness. The session encouraged a deep sense of appreciation for the self, reinforcing that love starts from within.

Following the yoga practice, participants transitioned into a reflective journaling session. With prompts designed to nurture self-acceptance and gratitude, attendees explored their inner narratives through three key steps - embracing their imperfections, celebrating their strengths and simply, showing themselves some love. Writing allowed them to deepen their connection with themselves, acknowledging their growth and celebrating their unique journeys.

Cultivating Self-Love was more than just a Valentine’s Day event—it was a reminder that prioritising ourselves is not selfish, but essential. We are so grateful to those who have joined our first event of the year, and we hope to see in our next one!
